LOCAL BY DESIGN
A library that
stays with you.
Saved sources, notes, books, images, and designs live in your Chrome profile. No analytics or automatic cloud sync. Optional AI processes saved text on your device; Kindle delivery uploads only the file you explicitly choose to send.
Read the privacy policy ↗A few things to know
A saved link needs to be captured before its article works offline. Website layouts, permissions, and collection limits can leave gaps; review the notes before exporting.
Optional JavaScript loading and diagram capture use PageQuilt-owned background tabs and may use your signed-in website session. Diagram capture and PDF export use Chrome’s debugger permission.
Local storage is not a backup. Uninstalling or clearing extension data can erase your library and notes. Export important reading editions to keep a portable copy.

Installation and export guide ↗Product information updated .
How do I save a web page as PDF or EPUB?
Install PageQuilt in Chrome desktop. Open PageQuilt, choose New book, and enter the public page URL. Review the scope and grant website access. After collection, choose Export (Download in earlier versions) and select PDF or EPUB. Keep the PageQuilt tab open during collection.
Can PageQuilt turn a whole website into a book?
PageQuilt can collect a single page, a website section, or pages across one site, within your reviewed scope and page limit. Website layouts, permissions, and collection limits can produce partial editions. Check coverage and image notes before exporting your book.
Can I read saved web pages offline?
Yes, once their content has been collected. Completed books, captured originals, and downloaded PDF or EPUB files work offline. In v0.5.0, Save this page initially saves a link and available metadata; capture that article from Your library before relying on it offline.
Is PageQuilt free? Do I need an account?
PageQuilt is free. Collecting websites, reading saved books, and downloading PDF or EPUB files require no PageQuilt account or server setup. Chrome desktop 131 or newer is required. Optional Kindle delivery uses a connected Amazon account or, in configured builds, Gmail.
Where does PageQuilt store my books and notes?
PageQuilt stores collected content, images, books, and designs in your Chrome profile. The v0.5.0 workspace also keeps saved sources, notes, and topics there. There is no automatic cloud sync. Clearing extension storage or uninstalling can erase this data, so export important books as PDF or EPUB.
Does PageQuilt use AI to create books?
Website collection and PDF/EPUB export work without AI. In v0.5.0, supported Chrome devices can optionally download a local model to create digests and cited working answers from captured originals. You choose when to run it. Check generated interpretations against the original source text.
Can I send a PageQuilt book to Kindle?
v0.5.0 offers optional Amazon account delivery and, in configured builds, Gmail-to-Kindle delivery. Connect a provider and destination in Settings, then review the prepared PDF or EPUB before sending. A successful provider submission confirms acceptance by that service; it does not confirm receipt on your Kindle.
